Martin has over 35 years' experience as a lawyer in leading international law firms including 5 years heading the international Projects, Finance and Restructuring team consisting of around 600 lawyers at global law firm DLA Piper prior to becoming its Global Co-chair for the digital and fintech practices. Prior to that Martin headed the finance team and was appointed London Managing Partner (a role he held for 5 years) at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe one of the world's leading US finance practices. He also spent 5 years at US law firm Jones Day (including heading the finance practice there). He trained and worked at Slaughter and May for seven years prior to joining Denton Wilde Sapte where he became a partner.

Martin also has extensive experience in business including as head of commercial affairs and General Legal counsel within the Eros Group of companies developing new technology brands with Xfinite and Immerso and Experience in banking including two-years in the debt structuring team of NatWest Markets and two years in London and Paris as an investment banker heading the structured products team at Calyon (the investment banking arm of Credit Agricole).
